For several years, he taught a weekly class using EFT and guided imagery for addiction recovery at Sacramento Drug Court. He has also been a presenter at a number of events, including several International Energy Psychology Conferences, all eleven years of the Tapping World Summit and Jack Canfield’s Breakthrough to Success event, and has presented teleseminars with The Secret stars Bob Doyle and Dr. Joe Vitale.

Brad is the author of the bestselling children’s book The Wizard’s Wish, the co-author of the bestseller Freedom at Your Fingertips, and a featured expert in the film The Tapping Solution (along with Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Dr. Norman Shealy and Dr. Bruce Lipton).

According to Brad, why EFT/Tapping works to improve mental health:

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Tapping – is a meridian-based energy therapy (opening up the flow of energy through these meridians by tapping strategically on them) developed by Gary Craig from the landmark discoveries of Dr. Roger Callahan. It is a simple technique based on acupuncture, which has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine.  It often provides rapid relief from physical-emotional issues (e.g. Trauma, PTSD, Phobias, Grief, Anger, Guilt, Anxiety, Addictive Cravings, Nightmares, Abandonment, Fear of Public Speaking, Fear of Flying, Love Pain, Depression, Pain, Headaches and much more).

Research has shown that Tapping can dramatically lower stress.  When we consider that most (if not all) of the emotional issues we struggle with are either caused by or worsened by stress, we can understand how calming the nervous system with Tapping can be so beneficial.  Not only can it be used to reduce upsets that one might be experiencing in the moment, it can also help to alleviate the emotional residue of past events that can trigger upsets – even allowing us to reframe the events to facilitate greater peace of mind.
